Certified LeSS Practitioner

In this 3-day seminar you will learn about Large ScaleScrum (LeSS), the framework for applying Scrum in large organizations. Trainer Mark Bregenzer is the first German-speaking certified LeSS trainer. Mark has experienced LeSS intensively over four years in large scaled development organizations facilitated by Craig Larman and Bas Vodde, the creators of LeSS.

Since 2007, Mark has worked in and with LeSS organizations in a wide variety of industries and roles. He brings this experience to the course, thus not only teaching the theoretical basics, but also providing participants with real-world application in each case.

After this training, participants will be registered as Certified LeSS Practitioners, giving them access to more valuable information.

Description

Large ScaleScrum (LeSS) is a framework to scale agile product development across multiple teams. LeSS is based on Scrum principles such as empiricism, cross-functional and self-managed teams. LeSS thus provides lightweight structures, rules and guidelines for implementing Scrum in large organizations.

In this "Certified LeSS Practitioner" course, participants work in small groups to identify and avoid local optimization and instead improve the overall system. Good organizational design that supports the goals of the business is key to success in large product developments.

Through many hands-on "systems modeling" sessions, participants will get the answer to the question: why? In doing so, they develop a deep understanding of successful organizational design and large-scale Scrum.

The course will include field reports from several LeSS introductions, many small group exercises on specific questions from the participants, and extensive Q&A sessions to ensure that the interests of the participants are fully addressed.

Mark will also share his many years of experience from large German and international companies with the course participants, thus substantiating the theory with practical examples.

The "Certified LeSS Practitioner" course is for anyone who is currently in a large agile development organization or is interested in the topic: "How can I work in a truly agile way in large organizations".

Scrum knowledge is assumed as a foundation. This knowledge can be gained with a Certified Scrum Master or a Professional Scrum Master course or by reading Scrum literature such as the Scrum Primer. Practical experience with Scrum is of course helpful.
